Establishing Protocols and Measures to Prevent Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings which involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a person through the use of force, coercion, fraud or other improper means, for the purpose of exploiting them. The definition of human trafficking differs from migrant smuggling, which people voluntarily request smugglers to surreptitiously transport them from one country to another. Currently, every country in the world is heavily affected by human trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime(UNODC) and non-governmental organizations(NGOs) are also dedicated to this long-standing problem. During our sessions in General Assembly, we would like honorable nations to communicate and cooperate in a diplomatic way, to reconsider and enforce the international laws or protocols in suppressing human trafficking, and to prevent the injustice and inhumane actions in the future.
